Saturday's temperatures soared into the low 70's across much of Southeastern Wisconsin. The official high of 71° at Mitchell International sneaked by the old record of 70° set back in 1945. We're feeling the effects of a rather "zonal" flow of air in the upper levels of the atmosphere. That means our "steering" winds are rather flat from West to East, which ushers in mild Pacific air masses into our region.
It doesn't appear that we'll have to deal with any significant storm systems or large swings in our temperatures for much of the upcoming week. In fact, another ridge of high pressure builds into our area by Tuesday. That should provide abundant sunshine through most of the work week.
Have a great Sunday!
