The weather system that brought us rain over the past few days is now weaker and far enough away that we won't get any rain today. Still, it remains close enough that it will keep us mostly cloudy. Clouds won't brought up significantly until around mid-morning tomorrow. After that, it will be partly cloudy and mild through the rest of the weekend. Tonight's rainfall around Milwaukee will be very light and widely scattered, ending by 3 or 4 am. The clouds will stick around most of the day on Friday and temperatures will soar into the lower fifties. There should be a bit more sunshine on Saturday and temperatures will continue to be mild. While we'll have occasional light rain or drizzle today, it looks like it will NOT be raining far more of the time than it will be. Rain totals today will likely be no more than a few hundredths of an inch. While the threat for rain will end tonight, considerable cloud cover will linger through tomorrow. A weather system has been lurking south of Wisconsin for the past several days. It's tortoise-like speed has led to some pretty hefty rain amounts in Illinois and Missouri earlier this week. The system is finally going to make it's impact felt across southern Wisconsin today and tomorrow, however it is much weaker than it was previously. While it will bring us occasional light rain from now through early tomorrow night, amounts will be relaltively low. A slow moving storm system in southern Illinois will crawl northward for the next two days bringing scattered light rain showers to the Milwaukee area. The clouds and showers will be around at times both Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will stay mild in the mid to upper-forties on both days in Milwaukee. The wind will still be a bit brisk on Wednesday but subside a bit on Thursday.
